Chapter 58 - France Revisted

Albin and Charli had visited France when their children had been young and had always mean't to return, but life had become soo busy that they hadn't found the time.

With Albin suffering health problems they had realised that if they didn't go soon they might never return to France.
Being back just a short distance from Paris rekindled old memories and made them feel young again.

They decided to relieve their old adventuring days and went to investigate the local castle which was famed for being haunted.

They didn't find any ghosts, but lots of booby traps.

Albin stepped right into a wall of electricity, happily he was not badly hurt. There were so many booby traps across the castle they decided that perhaps its was best to leave well alone. 

Whatever secret they were hiding was not worth dying for and their reflexes were not what they once were.

Charli enjoyed spending time at the local nectary learning more about nectar making and trying out the new techniques she had learn't.

They also spent time looking over the French countryside and harvesting different varieties of grapes. These they planned to take home and plant in their own garden to allow them to make many different varieties of nectar.

Albin found the French countryside very peaceful and it allowed him to practice the meditation techniques he had learnt as a martial artist in China.

One day he went into such a deep trance that when he opened his eyes again he found himself alone on an island.

He wasn't sure if it was real or in a dream but the little place was idyllic and he ended up swimming in the warm sea water.

The best of the holiday for both of them was the time they got together. Home life with the kids and grandkids had become so busy. It was nice to take a step back and just be a couple again for a few days.
