She now felt only impatience to meet their new baby. Albin on the other hand seemed to be getting more and more restless as the time for her to give birth approached.
He had been over the moon when she told him she was pregnant and had told her that he had a strong feeling that they would be having another girl. As the months went on he repeated this assertion but with less confidence each time. Charli didn't understand why he was so desperate to have a baby girl.
Charli had been delighted to discover that Megan was also having a baby due on the same day. Megan was the wife of Albin's partner; Danny. In fact Megan's sister; Erin, was also having a baby due at the same time. The three ladies spent a lot of time together. They lived in a small town and it was unusual for more than one lady to be pregnant at the same time.
Charli enjoyed hanging out with them both and wondered what she would do when they went back to work after the babies were born.
Knowing that babies very rarely came on their due date Charli arranged a party for their due date at her house.
All was going well until Erin went into labour.
quickly followed by Megan
and then even Charli herself.
However none of the three managed to give birth on their due date all producing their children in the early hours of the next morning.
Erin gave birth first at her house and named her son Connor Wellburn.
Megan was next also having a son whom she called Peter Field.
Charli had her little baby girl and called her Gwen, so it turned out Albin's was right after all.
Albin looked carefully at his new daughter, he found it hard to remember but he felt that the little Gwen he had left behind had been darker.
A wave of sadness came over him that he had lost that little girl forever. However he determined on loving his new little daughter and letting the past be the past.
I love Charli's nightie. Very cute. Awww sweet, Albin is dreaming of books.

It's so nice that us 3 ladies get on so well. It's fab that we are pregnant at the same time and have been bonding over that. Charli can look after our babies when me and you go back to work. We are likely to just leave them at home otherwise.....
I love our outfits, me and you rocking the shorts look. The pics of us going into labour is fun. I'm sure it added excitement to the party.
I love that we all look a bit shocked or say trying hard to keep our eyes open while holding our lovely new babies.
I wonder if Albin will ever feel completely at home or there will always be this sadness of what has been taken from him….

Was very cool you were all pregnant at the same time, there seems to be lots of births in this town at the moment. Wonder how the school will cope with all these children.
