Chapter 80 - The Victorian Era

We now enter the Victorian Era and Owen takes over as head of the family.

The pioneer mansion has been replaced with a Victorian styled house.

The River family have also updated their appearance to suit the era.

The new rules for this era are as follows:

"After the long years of working farmland and pioneering their way to riches, it's time for your legacy family to relax and relish in the joys of life. It's the Victorian era, and although your sims should still be working hard, the time calls for a new appreciation of recreation. Once the eldest child has reached young adulthood, the new generation will begin. It's once again up to you to redesign your lot - bring your sims one step closer to the future by dressing them appropriately  If your budget allows, it's recommended to redecorate your home. Male sims are required to work a full-time job of their choice. Female sims are permitted to work as cooks, nurses/doctors, journalists, musicians  teachers, or daycare workers. Unmarried sims are to remain as chaste as possible - "kiss" and "shy kiss" should only be used between engaged or married sims, while "woohoo" and "makeout" are reserved solely for married couples. Sims may now complete opportunities offered by the game. Adoptions are allowed, and adopted family members are eligible to become heir.
