Aisha was doing well in her new home and had even started dating again, she had kept it in the family by dating Fischer Baggett.
Thinking about it Owen mused it wasn't much of a surprise she was dating one of the River family as around of a third of the town now fell into that category.
Owen was now only a few years from retirement and on Aisha's departure he took stock of his life. He had worked hard and become Mayor of the region but now it was time to think beyond work and to what he would do when he retired.
As a young boy Owen had loved fishing and had discovered early on that he had a natural talent for it.
As a young man Owen had decided to send the River family in a new direction. Moving them away from the land and trying for artistic pursuits such as music, painting and writing.
He didn't regret his decision, he had seen his family flourish but he felt that in his twilight years he wanted to refocus on some of the core River traits.
The garden which under his mother Charli had flourished now only contained the money trees.
Owen decided to start investing more time in gardening and planted a range of different plants.
He also took the twins fishing and it was very emotional knowing he was doing what all the generations of River heirs had done since Laughing Bear had found himself in this town.
The arts were not to be forgotten all together. He had formed a band with his wife Martha, with him on the base and her on the guitar. It was only a bit of fun really but they sometimes played at some open mic nights at the local watering hole.
Owen felt that things would be changing over the next few years and looked forward to winding down as he went towards retirement. However with Lizzie and Henry being born so late in his adult life, he would still be leading the River family for many years yet.

Poor Owen getting on. It’s a shame people age, I wonder how long he has left. I like his mayor outfit, very stylish. It’s nice he is going back to the River core values of using the land. Lovely seeing him and the twins fishing and seeing the old pic of him and his dad Merlin. Great seeing Owen having time for hobbies and fun.
I love that when Sims garden they don’t get muddy and don’t change their outfit. How old are the twins?
