Chapter 121 - The Joy of Grandchildren

Martha missed Owen every minute of every day but found it especially hard sleeping in the bed that she used to share with him.

She was grateful however to at least not feel too lonely, it was good to be surrounded by her family. 

She took pleasure in spending time with her Grandson; James, and had even painted a portrait of him. There were other reasons for joy too.

Henry and Ruth had announced they were expecting their first child and as a result had decided to get married. It wasn't the only baby expected either as Harold and Lizzie announced they were expecting their second child.

The prospect of two more grandchildren was delightful to Martha.

Due to the speed of Lizzie's delivery her second was born at home.

They named her Helen. 

Henry became a father a week later when Ruth gave birth to a baby boy whom they named Jesse.

Harold's career had taken off and he was now on the local Baseball team and as such was becoming a minor celebrity in his own right.

Martha and Lizzie were very excited to be given tickets to his first game, it was a close thing but sadly Harold's team lost.

Lizzie was also enjoying success and had been given the supporting role in the new futuristic drama, there were hints that she was being considered for a lead role. But as the studio was always awash with gossip Lizzie was doing her best to concentrate on her current role and enjoy her success so far and to enjoy time with her family. She felt blessed to have those she loved around her.
