Chapter 38 - Making the best of it

Albin was never sure how he got through those first few weeks. He felt like a stranger in his own house. He watched his family interacting and felt like an outsider.

He began to realise as time went on that even if he found a way to return home he might be a stranger there too. He began to settle back into a routine and enjoy his family. It was time to live life to the full and to start with he decided he needed to spend quality time with his wife Charli.

Albin had added to the wealth left to him by his father and was now very wealthy. He had been able to build a house for his sister and her husband to live in and would be able to do the same for Kwasi when he got married.

So Albin splashed out on a holiday to France. He would leave the kids with Kwasi and Kainda and take his wife away for a romantic break. This would allow him to get to know his wife and fall in love with her all over again.

Charli was very excited and looked up all about Le Champs, the area they would be staying in. It was famed for its nectar brewing and Charli hoped to learn the skills herself when she was there. Albin just hoped to get quality time spent with his wife and to try and focus on the future, rather than dwelling on the past.

  1. Awwww poor Albin. It must be so hard being thrown back in time. I'm glad he has decided to focus on his relationship with his wife. It's lovely that he is taking her on holiday just the two of them so he can get to really know her and fall in love with her again.

I bet Charlie is excited. It's so nice to go away on holiday. I wonder what they will get upto in France.
