Chapter 126 - James Looks Ahead

James had now reached his teenage years.

As was River family tradition leadership would pass to him on his eighteenth birthday (unless of course he went to University first). This was still four years off but it had begun to loom large on his horizon. He was proud to be part of the River family and each leader had brought their own style, choosing for themselves an era and excelling in their different ways.

The original leader Laughing Bear River had been stranded in the neighbourhood when a time travelling device had caused a ripple in time and dragged Laughing Bear and Little feet forward into the future (http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/428875.page)

They had been gifted a plot of land and done their best to build a life for themselves. Laughing Bear had fished and farmed to care for his family.

Their eldest son Albin had taken over leadership on his eighteenth birthday and chosen the medieval era and built a castle for them to live in.

Albin had joined the Police Force and become an international super spy protecting their country from foreign agents.

Albin's oldest son Merlin had then become leader and moved the family into the pioneering era.

Merlin had chosen to become a fire-fighter and over time had risen to fire chief.

The neighbourhood though quite small did appear to have a lot of fires and Merlin himself personally saved quite a few residents from being burnt alive and had also taken on Melvin who had tried to cheat members of the River family out of their inheritance.

Merlin's oldest Owen had come next and had chosen the Victorian era. Owen wasn't athletic and muscular like his predecessors, but instead was interested in politics. He had risen quickly and gained high popularity across the town and finally had served as Mayor for many years.

It was Owen who had commissioned the building of a studio in town and tempted some B list celebrities to come and settle here.

Owen's oldest child was James' own mother Lizzie and she had become the first woman to become leader of the family.

After going to University and gaining a mediocre art degree she had returned and announced she was going to become a film actress and that the family would enter the 1920's.

She had been highly successful.

Now James needed to work out how he would make his own mark and hope to be remembered. With four years remaining he had time to find his own strengths and choose the path he wanted to take.
