He seemed as keen on Gwen as ever and after the first week surprised Gwen by proposing to her.
Merlin was a little concerned, but talking to Freya he decided to go along with it. Gwen was an adult and could choose for herself. Direct opposition would just make her turn away from her family and if Youssef was up to no good she would have no where to turn to when she found out.
Instead Merlin welcomed Youssef into the family, half hoping that it would fizzle out before they reached the altar. Merlin commissioned a house next to Evelyn's for the pair.
However nothing occurred and Merlin stood in as Youssef's best man on the wedding day.
Merlin had to admit that Youssef had brought the smile back to Gwen's face.
He hoped that it had been love at first sight and that they would be just as happy as he and Freya had been as man and wife.
The wedding brought so many family members together in a happy occasion, the last big event they had met for had been Albin's funeral.
Freya had announced she was pregnant again and was starting to show.
Evelyn had announced she was pregnant again and that they would be expecting their third child.
As Merlin danced with the new Mrs Nagi he wondered how long before Gwen herself would start a family.
