Chapter 102 - Merlin's New Son

Aisha gave birth to a little boy and they named him Hasani, meaning handsome.

It was odd being a parent again so late in life, his oldest Grandchild; Spock, had now just left school. Spock had got himself a job as gardener. He seem to be very good with plants, Merlin wondered if this was some alien magic he had. Spock still looked very startling, but most people in town were used to him now and due to Owen's influence he had been accepted.

Merlin was glad to see Owen and Martha so ready to help Aisha, she had become part of the family. 

In spite of how they had all felt when Merlin had told them, they had all rallied round him and taken Aisha into their hearts. They had expected to find her a gold digger and were instead greeted by a young cheerful woman who seemed to have fallen very much in love with Merlin.

Other changes were afoot in the town. Owen as mayor had been instrumental in producing a successful bid to convince Plumbob Pictures to build their new studio in the town. It would bring lots of revenue and tourism. It did mean that they had had to build quite a few pubs and clubs too. Owen hoped this would not ruin their quiet town, but give the populace something to do when the sun went down.

Owen took his Dad Merlin to visit the new pub sector.

After a few drinks it had seemed like a great idea to have a go on the instruments provided by the club for musicians. 

They even got the bartender to join in with them. There was no one asking for encores at the end but neither were they booed off the stage.

The other change was the opening of a University not to far from the town.

A mascot arrived with some freebies and information for the family. Owen hoped one day Henry and Lizzie would go.It was an opportunity he had never had.
