He had felt a lurch of guilt and fear as to what this could be about, but telling himself he was being silly he agreed to visit. Einstein had sounded worried though and Dominic wondered what could have happened.
Einstein greeted him and led him through to the lounge. In the last few years age seem to have caught up with Einstein.
"Is everything okay?" asked Dominic.
"That obvious is it?" asked Einstein giving his friend a small smile, "It's Hermione."
"Is she okay?" asked Dominic suddenly anxious.
"No, she has got herself into trouble, the usual kind of trouble a young girl gets herself into."
Dominic's eyes widened and he felt as if someone had punched him in the stomach, he replied disbelievingly "She's pregnant?".
Einstein nodded and sighed again, "And she won't tell me who the father is."
Dominic said the next words slowly feeling the beginnings of the truth dawning on him. "How many months is she?"
Einstein didn't seem to think this an odd question, but answered readily "Around four and I have asked her again and again, but she won't tell me who the scoundrel is. If I get my hands on him though, he will pay." Einstein looked up to find Dominic staring off transfixed into the distance. He called "Dominic".
Dominic came out of his trance "Would you like me to talk to her, as her friend she might tell me more?"
Einstein looked relieved " I was hoping you would say that."
Dominic left the house trying to take in what he had heard. It had been around four months since that night with Hermoine, unless he was very much mistaken he was the scoundrel Einstein was looking forward to giving a good beating. He had to see Hermoine and get the truth from her. That one drunken night looked set to bring big repercussions into the River family.
Go Dom, go Dom! Mr Fertile has stuck again yet this time he won't give birth to it.
ReplyDeleteWas good he went and talked to Einstein. I wonder what Einstein will do when he finds out who the father is! You best whisk her up the aisle quickly Dom. I bet you feel guilty now.
I wonder how Hermione feels. I wonder how angry she is with Dom. It makes it worse that Dom went on dates too. I do wonder how they will sort out their relationship. Dom definitely needs to do some grovelling.
Einstein has a classy looking house. Dom looks so guilty in the third pic, so funny.
