Her pregnancy gave her the chance to get to know her new sister in law Melody. They spent time together sharing their experiences and Charli found a new friend.
Charli had been feeling lonely with Merlin starting school. In the daytime she was by herself in the house. Even the horses had now left and gone to live with Kainda as she was better able to take care of them.
Now Charli felt that she had a whole new lease of life and looked forward to the birth of her third child. She knew this one would be her last as she was over forty and she was determined to enjoy it to the full.
Evelyn and Lance were continuing to get on well, although with the teenage years changes were occurring.
Lance who had loved Evelyn for as long as he could remember as a friend, was starting to encounter new feelings and finding that he looked at Evelyn in a new way.
He wasn't sure how to talk to her about it, but the prom gave him the perfect opportunity and he asked her if she would go with him. He said nothing more then, hoping the dance itself might do the rest.
The evening went really well and by the end the two were an item and had shared their first kiss, unknown to Evelyn's parents.
The Prom dance had always been an opportunity for the River family to put on contemporary clothes and enjoy themselves.
Evelyn wore a blue dress and her hair long.
Whilst Lance wore a white suit to contrast with his striking hair colour.
By the end of the evening they were crowned Prom King
and Prom Queen.
They were now the hottest couple in school. The only problem now was how to tell Evelyn's parents that they were dating. They had both been very kind to Lance, but would they be as kind if they knew their daughter was dating her imaginary friend?
That would be very strange indeed! I'm not sure how if react to finding out my daughter was going out with her imaginary friend!!
