Chapter 16 - Albin's new life

Albin had taken to heart the serious talk he had had with his father and after some careful thought had decided that their family would enter the medieval era. He felt that their distinctiveness shouldn't be lost and yet they should move forward.

Albin fancied himself as a knight and used the money they had to build a castle for the family to live in.



Sadly his enthusiasm in the castle's exterior design meant that there was very little money left the decorate the interior. Albin wasn't worried though, there would be plenty of time to make more money and as a family they were used to sparse conditions. Laughing bear said nothing disparaging to Albin's ideas and meekly adopted his new outfit. 

Albin was very grateful to his father, he appreciated his support as he found his way in his new leadership role. 

At Albin's graduation he was named Valedictorian (graduated top of the class) and his parents and siblings who went to the graduation ceremony were very proud.

Albin had also thought seriously about his career and had decided to become a policeman. He gained a partner called Hal Breckenridge.

Albin had been hoping for a partner a little bit younger and if he was honest a fit young lady was what he wanted. His fathers request for him to bring home a wife and provide him with grandchildren was still ringing in his ears and he wondered where he would find time for everything he wanted to do. Whereas if he could combine work with pleasure that would make things much easier.

On reflection though, he realised that Hal's experience was bound to come in useful and he was sure he would learn a lot from him. Yet when he turned up for work on his second day he found that Hal had retired overnight and his new partner was Anita Lobos.

Anita was the daughter of Angel Lobos from Chapter 4 who Laughing bear had asked advice from on marriage all those years ago. Anita had a twin sister Charlotta and they both had rather bold hairstyles. Laughing bear had become acquainted with them at Angel's funeral.

Albin had to admit Anita was a step in the right direction, but she wasn't he only young lady he had been getting to know.

Two other ladies had caught his eye, Emili Solin

and Charli Bratz.

Albin found himself rather busy and Patches was often cared for by Little Feet as Albin just didn't have the time.

Only a few days after they moved into their castle, they had an unexpected visitor at night and called the police.

Albin was very impressed with the police woman who caught the burglar stealing their bath and kicked his ass, literally. 

Sefu had shot up overnight and was a young man now. 

The three teens got on well, often doing their homework together on the dining room table.

All the family were settling into their new home and Albin hoped that they would be very happy here as a family.
