Chapter 21 - Goodbye

Sefu had come home from school very excited one day as the school were running a school trip abroad. Sefu longed to see far off places and couldn't wait to go.

Laughing Bear was quite worried to let Sefu go that far from home, never having travelled that far himself, but Albin was now the head of the family and he agreed the scheme.

Sefu was picked up by the school bus early one morning and that was the last they saw of him. A few days later the school principal came to their house to inform them that Sefu had been involved in an accident and had sadly died.

The house was in shock for a few days. They could all remember his happy smiling face as he waved to them from the school bus. No one could believe that young man full of vitality was no more.

A funeral was held a week after his death, once they were able to bring his body back home. They buried him in the back garden placing a stone to mark the place and gathered as a family to mourn him.

Cassandra came to the funeral, not dressed in black but in the gorgeous wedding outfit she had worn when Albin had got married on the last happy day she spent with Sefu.

In fact only the family wore black. Kainda had a chance to chat to Dean. She hadn't seen him since she had graduated. It was good to chat to him again and he looked pleased to see her. He still made her heart flutter, but she didn't know if he felt the same. Now however wasn't the time to find out and they talked over their friends and what they were doing after school.

The funeral had a good turn out, Sefu had been well liked.

Chatting to his boss Dean at the funeral Albin found out that his boss had decided to retire and that his partner Anita was now his new boss. Anita and him were very good friends and Albin chatted to her and managed to secure himself a promotion.

One guest was very late, only turning up once the party was over and the household had retired to bed. He amused himself telling himself ghost stories and drifting through walls.

With the sad day over the family settled back into every day life and Albin hoped that he would soon have some happy news to lift all their spirits.

    1. No I made that bit up. I wanted to produce generation three before Laughing Bear died but there were too many sims in the house so I killed off Sefu to make space (bit evil of me really).
