This meant he was given his own personal Fire engine and an alarm had been fitted in his house, so that he was now able to work from home. He could work on paperwork until the alarm would let him know that a blaze in town required his presence.

This left only Charli and Melody River of generation two, who were still alive. All of Laughing Bear and Little Feet's children were now buried next to them.

Albin and Charli had visited France when their children had been young and had always mean't to return, but life had become soo busy that they hadn't found the time.

With Albin suffering health problems they had realised that if they didn't go soon they might never return to France.

He had his mothers dark skin colouring and his father's dark eyes. As he was born with no hair, they didn't yet know whether he would inherit Freya's striking red hair or not.

Evelyn gave birth to Aidan River just a few weeks after Merlin and Freya got married.

She was the most beautiful bride he had ever seen and she was his. At last the day he had been waiting for months had arrived and Freya was going to be his wife.

The last few months had been a busy time for the River tribe. The time had come at last for Merlin to take over leadership. He had graduated school with honours and Freya graduated as top of the class. Now as an adult it was his job to be head of the family and to decide on the path they should follow.
